I'd known that that Mailer's preference is a pencil rather a typewriter, but I find it assuring that he'd written his first two novels using a keyboard. When I try to write in longhand, my word flow stops up instantly.<br /><br />I've finished <I>The Castle in the Forest</I> and have re-read large sections of it.
